• Marquette – Youth Sailing Lessons

    Youth Sailing Lessons Offered this Summer   The Marquette Junior Yacht Club will again offer youth sailing lessons this summer to the public. The program will provide the basic fundamentals of sailing for beginner ages 8-17 and expanded skill training for returning intermediate sailors. Instruction takes place both on and off the water by certified sailing instructors at the Marquette Yacht Club location, E Main Street, Marquette.   • Beaumier Center Offers Campus Walking Tour

    6/11/2025 The Beaumier U.P. Heritage Center at Northern Michigan University will offer three free walking tours of NMU’s campus this summer. All are open to the public. The tours are scheduled at 11 a.m. on June 20, July 11 and Aug. 8., beginning at the Carillon Towers next to the Northern Center just off Lee Drive. Reservations are not required. Each tour will take about 90 minutes to complete and participants will walk about one mile through campus.
