Experience the magic of a live radio show as The Red Jacket Jamboree returns to the historic Calumet Theatre on July 18th! Monday July 20, 2026. 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. Peter White Public Library Community Room. Three baby dinosaurs are about to hatch—and you get a front-row seat! This interactive puppet show brings the prehistoric world roaring to life as adorable baby dinosaur puppets crack out of their eggs during the live performance. Through fun storytelling, audience participation, and plenty of dino-mite moments, you’ll explore different dinosaur species, ancient ecosystems, and the exciting world of paleontology. It’s an egg-cellent blend of education and entertainment that’s perfect for young dinosaur enthusiasts! Youth of all ages welcome, under 8 must have an adult present in the show with them.

In this new programming series, seasoned published authors of various genres lead participants through writing exercises and workshops to hone their writerly talents. July’s Writer: Cindy Hunter Morgan. An acclaimed Michigan Notable Book author and fiber artist, Cindy will lead a two-day workshop in which participants create and bind a collaborative artist book. The Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library’s (ICPL) Summer Reading Program is in full swing! We have been busy offering events for all ages and even hit record-breaking attendance at our programs in June! 2,203 people attended programs in June, nearly surpassing our ENTIRE program attendance for last summer in a single month.
