Summer Reading program and stop by to pick a prize and grab your Teens Read! Card. Saturday, June 6, 2026.  Show 1: 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. |  Show 2: 1:00 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Community Room and Youth Services Room.  Summer Reading 2026 “Unearth A Story” kicks off with a truly special show from the Bright Star Theatre – Dino Academy: A Dinosaur Discovery Show! Kids will get to take an unforgettable field trip through time during this action-packed adventure featuring life-like, colorful dinosaur puppets that will stomp, roar and charm their way into every heart. The show is best for kids PreK-5 th grade; kids of all ages are welcome.

Bring your dinner, sit down, and enjoy this Oscar-winning Best Picture in celebration of Pride Month and Juneteenth. A young, African American man, struggling with his identity and sexuality, comes of age in this compelling drama. Rated R. The Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library (ICPL) is excited to announce that their annual Summer Reading Program is set to begin on June 9th! This year’s summer reading theme is “Unearth A Story.” ICPL’s Summer Reading Program is open to all ages—babies through adults are welcome to participate in the fun! Individuals can pre-register for the challenge online by downloading the Beanstack app or visiting ishpeminglibrary.beanstack.org. Participants are entered for prizes by logging their reading, writing reviews, and attending library programs. This year we are having an entire week dedicated to our Summer Reading Kick-Off! Tuesdays June (9, 16, 23, 30), 2026.  9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Ohio St. (Williams) Park. Families and youth, join us outdoors for Park Storytime! Want to download travel apps before you leave town? Need help utilizing the library’s Memory Lab or navigating Libby? Learn how to make your electronic devices work the way you want, with the help of Christine Ault, retired teacher and teach coach, Tuesday mornings from 10 AM – 3 PM during June, July and August in the Local History Research Room of the Peter White Public Library. Available at no cost to all youth (18 and under) and disabled adults up to age 26.
