  • Wild Ones Keweenaw Plant Sale

    It’s time to plant! With summer in full swing, the woods and meadows are alive with flowers. You can bring that natural beauty home by adding native plants to your yard. The Wild Ones Keweenaw Chapter is holding its late summer plant sale online at keweenaw.wildones.org. More than two dozen species are available, including scarlet bee balm, purple coneflower, and Jack in the pulpit, plus two different mini-gardens for monarch butterflies.   • PWPL Presents: Drop-in Meditation with Meditate Marquette

    Tuesdays, September (1, 8, 15, 22, 29) 2026. 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Fridays, September (4, 11, 18, 25) 2026. Noon – 1:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Heritage Room.  Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer two weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation programs. Sessions will include a combination of talks, seated meditation, and movement practices.   • Marquette Marathon

    Date: September 5, 2026 The Marquette Marathon is run on a point-to-point course through beautiful Marquette County, located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The start is in the heart of the small iron mining town, Ishpeming, which means “heaven” in Ojibwa. The course then follows the Iron Ore Heritage Trail down into Marquette. The Marquette Marathon will finish at the Superior Dome. The Marquette Marathon has a history dating back to the late 1970’s. The intent is for us to cultivate mindfulness, care, and well-being individually and in our love, business, and social relationships.
