The first Fall meeting of the Michigan Association of School Personnel, Houghton-Keweenaw Chapter (MARSP) will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd at Gino’s in Hancock. The business meeting will begin at 12:30 pm followed by a buffet lunch. The guest speaker is Kathleen Harter. director of Meals on Wheels. All members are encouraged to attend. The next general membership meeting of the Marquette Area Chapter of the North Country Trail will be September 2, Tuesday, at 6 p.m. in the Community Room (downstairs) at Peter White Public Library. This month’s program will feature a presentation by John Frick about his hiking adventure in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan. Known for its monasteries, fortresses, welcoming people, and stunning landscapes, Bhutan is a destination few have the chance to experience.
