  • May 26 City Commission Meeting On A Tuesday

    Due to the Memorial Day holiday, the upcoming regular meeting of the Marquette City Commission will be held on Tuesday, May 26. The meeting will take place in City Commission Chambers at City Hall, and is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. As a reminder, most City offices will be closed on Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day

Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer a weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation program. The sessions begin at 6:00 pm followed by a period of fellowship. Dr. Debra Smith, a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and psychologist, will deliver brief talks exploring various aspects of meditation and its impact on our lives. These talks will take place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, while longer meditation sessions are scheduled for the remaining Tuesdays.   • Marquette seniors perform ‘Painless, the Opioid Musical’ at Peter White Library

    May 27, 2026. 7:00 PM Peter White Library Five seniors from Marquette Senior High School will present their 12th and final performance of Painless, the Opioid Musical at Peter White Library on Wednesday May 27, 2026. They performed this 7 times at MSHS during the school day in March, 2 times for the community and once each at Westwood High School and Negaunee High School in May. It was written by a University of Michigan Musical Theater student.
