Tuesday July (21, 28), 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. Peter White Public Library Great Room. Kids going into 4th and 5th grade are invited to register for one shot games and adventure their way through a Jurassic D&D adventure! Expect dinosaurs and jungles! Both experienced and new players welcome. Registration is required and limited. Registration opens June 8 with the Youth Services Department. No admission charge. The Northern Michigan University Department of Music will present a second season of Its series, Summer Concerts at Reynolds (SCR). This year’s events will all take place at 5 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall on Tuesdays in July and August. Admission is free, though donations will be gratefully accepted, with all proceeds benefiting the department to enhance the experience for students. This summer, SCR is highlighting music department faculty members, who are highly trained professional musicians as well as full-time educators. They will present both solo and group performances. Noon – 1:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Heritage Room.  Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer two weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation programs. Sessions will include a combination of talks, seated meditation, and movement practices. Wednesday, July 22, 2026. 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library, Community Room. We have partnered with Iron Golem Games to bring Dungeon and Dragons to the PWPL. Jordan, from Iron Golem Games, and local DM’s will lead groups of teens on an epic quest with this role-playing game. For students entering grades 6-12. Registration is required, no admission charge. The Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library’s (ICPL) Summer Reading Program is in full swing! We have been busy offering events for all ages and even hit record-breaking attendance at our programs in June! 2,203 people attended programs in June, nearly surpassing our ENTIRE program attendance for last summer in a single month. Enjoy a tour through town in an air-conditioned Checker bus. Sit back and relax, meet a few entertaining historic characters, and learn from the tour guide along the route. Each summer the tours include something new, and delight locals and tourists as well. 90-minute tour departs from and returns to the MRHC. Tickets are $25, and on sale now! The Marquette Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors will be holding a special meeting on Thursday July 23, 2026 to review the proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget. The special meeting will take place at the Marquette Commons, 112 South Third Street, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Public Participation There will be two options for public participation in this meeting: in person or written.
