    Tuesday, April 7 5:30 p.m.  The Negaunee Public Library is holding a “bring your own craft night” at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, where the community is welcome to bring a craft they are working on or start a new one. This is an excellent way for the community to get together, share their hobbies, and have a dedicated place and time for creative flow.     Tuesdays, April (7, 14, 21, 28) 2026.  6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Heritage Room.  Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer a weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation program. The sessions begin at 6:00 pm followed by a period of fellowship. Dr. Debra Smith, a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and psychologist, will deliver brief talks exploring various aspects of meditation and its impact on our lives. These talks will take place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, while longer meditation sessions are scheduled for the remaining Tuesdays.  All individuals, regardless of skill level or spiritual affiliation, are

    Northern Michigan University’s Platform Personalities organization will host actor Max Greenfield of “New Girl” and “The Neighborhood” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the Northern Center Grand Ballroom.  Greenfield is an Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated actor best known for his iconic role as Schmidt in the hit comedy series “New Girl.” His portrayal of the fast-talking, sharply dressed, and hilariously self-assured character earned him widespread critical acclaim and a devoted fan following. Marquette Maritime Museum’s Maritime History on Tap presents The Ghost of Lighthouse Keeper Adam Sayles on April 7, 7:00pm at the Ore Dock Brewing Company. Keeper Sayles died of a heart attack in the Lighthouse on December 18, 1942, and some think he still haunts the Lighthouse today. Evan Sparks, Museum intern, will give some background on Keeper (and booze smuggler) Sayles, followed by Yooper Paranormal sharing stories about Sayles’ presence in the Marquette Lighthouse during paranormal investigations.     Wednesday, April 8 10 a.m. to noon Peter White Public Library Shiras Room Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs will hold her next community office hours on Wednesday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Shiras Room, on the top level of Peter White Public Library (Front Street side).  The meeting is intended to provide an informal opportunity to discuss issues within the community, and to give citizens the opportunity for direct dialogue with City staff about interests and concerns.
