Tuesday, April 14, 2026.  12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Shiras Room.  A book group for readers, who love to cook. With a focus on food-themed literature, the group explores a variety of books from cookbooks to culinary memoirs. Participants can enjoy tasty treats inspired by the book of the month while sharing their thoughts and connecting with others who share their passion for both literature and food. Tuesday, April 14 5-7 p.m.  The Negaunee Public Library is offering a monthly culture program for older children and teens. The April program will be about Guinea, a country in West Africa, and will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14. A guest speaker will share insights about the culture and traditions of Guinea. This is an excellent opportunity for kids, ages 8 and up, and young adults to learn about cultures worldwide. The event is free. The sessions begin at 6:00 pm followed by a period of fellowship. Dr. Debra Smith, a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and psychologist, will deliver brief talks exploring various aspects of meditation and its impact on our lives. Wednesday, April 15, 2026.  Family Day 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Family Night 4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Youth Services Room.  Families with youth of all ages, welcome to our brand-new monthly family themed drop-in library days! Wednesday, April 15, 2026:  4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Marquette Food Coop Teens in grades 6-12 are invited to register for a cooking class at the Marquette Food Coop. We will be making Mexican Sopes with refried beans and homemade salsa. This class is gluten free and vegetarian. Very hands-on!
