In partnership with several area organizations, this hour-long event offers a safe space to pause, reflect, and build meaningful connections with others who are committed to cultivating kindness in our world. Each week, a different organization takes the lead, with experienced educators and leaders facilitating. This rotating format ensures diverse perspectives and practices while maintaining a shared commitment to the Charter for Compassion and the Circle of Trust principles. All students in grades 6 to 8 are invited to put on your best summer themed attire for the library’s annual Spring Fling. Dance to your favorite songs and hang out with your friends. Parent chaperones are always welcome to help. Ticket required, which can be purchased at the PWPL Teen Zone. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in person. Veterans Hockey Game Fundraiser
Dee Stadium 700 East Lakeshore Drive, Houghton, MichiganVeterans Hockey Game at Dee Stadium to Raise Funds for Tunnel to Towers and Strengthen Community Support Across the Upper Peninsula The Michigan Upper Peninsula Veterans Hockey Club will return to Dee Stadium on April 18 at 7:00 p.m. for its annual game against the Minnesota Warriors. This year’s event raises funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which provides direct housing and financial support to Gold Star families, injured veterans, and first responders facing serious hardship. The foundation is known for keeping administrative costs low and ensuring donations reach the people who need them most. Admission is five dollars,
