The Friends of the Negaunee Public Library are holding a reception from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, in the Negaunee Public Library’s Reading Room in honor of Al Sundine. Sundine, a retired Negaunee High School teacher, served on the Negaunee Public Library board from December 1980 to December 2025. He was president of the board from 2008 through the end of his tenure. The public is invited to attend this free event, enjoy refreshments, and thank Sundine for his service to the community and the library.

Tuesday, April 21 5:30 p.m.  The Negaunee Public Library is holding a “bring your own craft night” at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, where the community is welcome to bring a craft they are working on or start a new one. This is an excellent way for the community to get together, share their hobbies, and have a dedicated place and time for creative flow. The sessions begin at 6:00 pm followed by a period of fellowship. Dr. Debra Smith, a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and psychologist, will deliver brief talks exploring various aspects of meditation and its impact on our lives.
