April 7 7:00pm Ore Dock Brewing Company. Marquette Maritime Museum’s Maritime History on Tap presents The Ghost of Lighthouse Keeper Adam Sayles on April 7, 7:00pm at the Ore Dock Brewing Company. Keeper Sayles died of a heart attack in the Lighthouse on December 18, 1942, and some think he still haunts the Lighthouse today. Evan Sparks, Museum intern, will give some background on Keeper (and booze smuggler) Sayles, followed by Yooper Paranormal sharing stories about Sayles’ presence in the Marquette Lighthouse during paranormal investigations. Wednesday, April 8 10 a.m. to noon Peter White Public Library Shiras Room Marquette City Manager Karen Kovacs will hold her next community office hours on Wednesday, April 8 from 10 a.m. to noon in the Shiras Room, on the top level of Peter White Public Library (Front Street side).  The meeting is intended to provide an informal opportunity to discuss issues within the community, and to give citizens the opportunity for direct dialogue with City staff about interests and concerns.

This year’s Spring Lyceum will feature snowboarder, recent Olympian, and 2022 Olympics Gold Medalist, Nick Baumgartner.    There will be school performances on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 April, with a community performance in Kaufman Auditorium on the evening of Wednesday 8 April at 7 p.m.
