  • Deux Saisons Opens NMU’s Siril Concert Series

    Northern Michigan University will open the 2025-2026 Siril Concert Series with Deux Saisons (French for “two seasons”), a duo featuring soprano Keri Lee Pierson and classical guitarist Christopher Schoelen, who perform a wide musical repertoire ranging from the Renaissance through the present day.     On Saturday, September 6th, the Marquette County Suicide Prevention Alliance along with several community organizations, businesses and community members will be walking for the annual Marquette County Walk for Hope to benefit local suicide prevention/postvention programming in Marquette County. The annual walk will be held in-person in Ishpeming at Al Quaal. The Walk Committee urges all community members to attend to honor the spirit of the event and recognize suicide prevention, suicide loss survivors, attempt survivors, and family and loved ones of those who struggle.
