    The Chassell Post 6507 VFW and Auxiliary will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, November 11, from 2pm-6pm. Appointments are available by calling 906-449-1450, but walk-ins are welcome. All blood donated through the UP Regional Blood Center stays in the Upper Peninsula and helps patients in need at one of the 12 Upper Peninsula hospitals. One donation can save up to 3 lives, and there is an urgent need for all blood types. All donors will be entered into a drawing to win $50 in Keweenaw Cash that can be used at any of the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce

    NMU Music Department Plans Three November Concerts The Northern Michigan University Music Department will present three upcoming concerts to usher in November: Percussion Ensemble; Opera Theater Workshop; and the inaugural Wildcat Winds performance.
