• Negaunee Public Library Presents: special activities available for spring break

    March 30-April 2 During Negaunee Public Schools’ spring break (the week of March 30-April 2), there will be special activities available for “busting boredom.” There will be a life-size board game in the children’s area, with instructions on each square. Library scavenger hunts for all ages will also be available. These programs are free.     Storytime at 11 a.m. Monday, March 30, at the Negaunee Public Library will have a special guest. Lisa Shirtz, a retired librarian and Title I tutor, will offer a fun program about the alphabet, that’s perfect for toddlers, preschoolers, Kindergartners, and children struggling with reading in school. Parents can learn how to teach their children the alphabet, as well. There will be songs and activities as part of this special storytime.   • PWPL Presents: Meditate Marquette

    Tuesdays, March (3, 10, 17, 24, 31) 2026.  6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Heritage Room.  Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer a weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation program. The sessions begin at 6:00 pm followed by a period of fellowship. Dr. Debra Smith, a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and psychologist, will deliver brief talks exploring various aspects of meditation and its impact on our lives. These talks will take place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, while longer meditation sessions are scheduled for the remaining Tuesdays.
