  • Marquette 4th of July Parade

    The Marquette Kiwanis Club invites the community to celebrate Independence Day in the heart of Downtown Marquette at the annual Kiwanis Fourth of July Parade—a tradition that goes back more than a century. The Parade starts at 2 pm on Friday July 4th And look up, you might see an F-16 Air Force jet flyover. at McClelland & W. Washington. This year, the theme will be “United We Stand.” Plenty of candy for the kids. We still have 25 float spots left for businesses and nonprofits.     At the Downtown Marquette Farmers Market, you will find over 70 vendors gathered to exhibit their locally grown, collected, and crafted products. Stop by the Marquette Commons every Saturday from 9 am – 1 pm to enjoy the local farmers, bakers, artisans, musicians, and more!

    “Better Together” will meet on Thursday, July 10 at 9:30 at the Zion Lutheran Church on Ingot Street in Hancock. The speaker will be Andrea Morse of Chassell.   • Feeding America Mobile Pantry @ Silver Creek Thrift

    Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift are partnering with Feeding America West Michigan to host a Mobile Food Pantry. Taking place on Thursday, July 10. Food distribution will begin at 10:00am and continue while supplies last or until 11:30am. Food will be available for approximately 550 families. Due to changes with Feeding America West Michigan, proxy pickup will be limited. This will be a drive-thru event with directions given by parking lot attendants. Guests are asked to remain in their cars and have adequate space prepared in their trunk or back seat in advance to allow the distribution team
