Tuesday August 4, 2026. 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Lower Level Lobby Gallery and Community Room.  Kids who have submitted their art for the Jurassic Art Show – dress up and enjoy food and drinks, while viewing your art with friends and family! Submission guidelines available at Youth Services desk or in the online event calendar. Submissions open May 1-July 31 at the Youth Services Desk. The Northern Michigan University Department of Music will present a second season of Its series, Summer Concerts at Reynolds (SCR). This year’s events will all take place at 5 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall on Tuesdays in July and August. Admission is free, though donations will be gratefully accepted, with all proceeds benefiting the department to enhance the experience for students. This summer, SCR is highlighting music department faculty members, who are highly trained professional musicians as well as full-time educators. They will present both solo and group performances. Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer two weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation programs. Wednesday, August 5, 2026. 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  Peter White Public Library Peter White Conference Room.  This Book Group welcomes readers interested in a variety of contemporary fiction on the first Wednesday of the month at 10 AM. Book discussions will be led by Reference Desk staff. Book selection for July will be SWIMMING IN THE DARK by Tomasz Jedrowski.
