Enjoy a tour through town in an air-conditioned Checker bus. Sit back and relax, meet a few entertaining historic characters, and learn from the tour guide along the route. Dust off your lawn chairs and unpack your picnic blankets–Concert on the Steps is back! This summer, enjoy an all-star lineup of incredible performances right on the library historical steps. Music on Third will be making its return to the Third Street Corridor this month and will be bringing some needed changes to help make it a safer and more enjoyable event for everyone. The first Music on Third of 2026 is scheduled for Thursday, July 16th, from 6 – 9 pm. Streets will be closed beginning at 5:30 pm, with musicians located between Ridge St. and Prospect St. performing from 6 – 8 pm and musicians between Prospect St. and Kaye Ave. performing from 7 – 9 pm.

PWPL welcomes Dr. Barbara Mcquade, faculty member of the University of Michigan Law School, former U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan, and legal analyst for NBC and MSNBC. Noon – 1:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Heritage Room.  Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer two weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation programs. Sessions will include a combination of talks, seated meditation, and movement practices.
