    Marquette County Habitat for Humanity is proud to host its annual Women Build event from Thursday, August 14 through Saturday, August 16, 2025. This empowering event promotes gender equity and inclusion in construction and other skilled trades, and this year embraces the theme: “Moving Forward Together: Women Educating and Inspiring Generations.” Women Build provides an opportunity for individuals to come together to learn new skills, build confidence, and support safe, affordable housing for families in need.   • August Feeding America Mobile Food Pantry

    Marquette -Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift are partnering with Feeding America West Michigan to host a Mobile Food Pantry. Taking place on Thursday, August 14. Food distribution will begin at 10:00am and continue while supplies last or until 11:30am. Food will be available for approximately 550 families. Due to changes with Feeding America West Michigan, proxy pickup will be limited. This will be a drive-thru event with directions given by parking lot attendants. Guests are asked to remain in their cars and have adequate space prepared in their trunk or back seat in advance to allow the distribution

  • Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library Summer Events: Crochet Club

    Thursday, August 14th at 2pm, the library will be hosting their regular Crochet Club program in combination with a Project Linus Meet-up. Project Linus now has a Marquette County Chapter that accepts handmade blankets of all types and sizes that will be donated to local children and teens in need. ICPL is a drop off location for these blankets!

      The Marquette Trail 50 is an ultramarathon (a foot race with distances beyond the marathon distance of 26.2 miles) along some of Marquette’s most scenic and pristine trails. The Marquette Trail 50 consists of a 50-kilometer and 50-mile event held on Saturday and a 5K and kids mile on Friday.
