Now in its seventh year, Classic Cars on Third Street is a community event presented by the Marquette Downtown Development Authority in partnership with the Women’s Center of Marquette County. The show runs on North Third Street, from Ohio Street to Park Street. Street closures will run from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is seeking public input on the Marina Fiscal Policy. City Staff have recognized a significant increase in marina-related costs and capital improvements. To offset costs and mitigate the financial burden on the City, incremental increases in fees are being proposed. Those who are interested in providing input may do so during the two public comment periods at the August Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee meeting. Tuesday, August 19th at 4pm, the Gemini Moon band will be at the library to perform! Gemini Moon performs guitar-driven originals with male/female lead vocals and harmonies, as well as fresh interpretations of classic and modern covers. The group is influenced by 90s alternative and 60s/70s classic rock, as well as blues, pop, and folk from all eras. The band’s original songs feature themes of love, hope, and courage among others. Gemini Moon blend these influences together into a playful, loving, and family-friendly musical space with balanced tones and mindful volume.
