Marquette Marathon Saturday, Sept. 5

Date: September 5, 2026 The Marquette Marathon is run on a point-to-point course through beautiful Marquette County, located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The start is in the heart of the small iron mining town, Ishpeming, which means “heaven” in Ojibwa. The course then follows the Iron Ore Heritage Trail down into Marquette. The Marquette Marathon will finish at the Superior Dome. The Marquette Marathon has a history dating back to the late 1970’s. Saturday, September 5, 2026. 10:00-11:30 a.m.  Peter White Public Library, George Shiras III Room.  Join mindfulness, meditation, and yoga teachers as we discuss various topics related to mindful living. Each month, teachers will present a topic that addresses the different dimensions where we can practice mindfulness and presence. The intent is for us to cultivate mindfulness, care, and well-being individually and in our love, business, and social relationships.
