    Find your walking shoes and lace up those sneakers. The 19th Annual Great Lakes Recovery Centers Run For Recovery is just around the corner. The Run/Walk, proudly presented by TruNorth Federal Credit Union, will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, in the back entrance of the Superior Dome in Marquette, with the course traversing north toward Presque Isle.    The annual event coincides with National Recovery Month in September.    All net proceeds will benefit Great Lakes Recovery Centers’ Compassionate Care Fund.     When: 2026.09.11-13 Where: City of Marquette City of Marquette residents are invited and encouraged to participate in the communitywide “Trash to Treasure Weekend” beginning Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13. The purpose of the program is to provide a venue for the recycling of reusable household items such as furniture, lamps, electronics and other working household items. The program is designed to increase awareness of recycling by creating an alternative means of reusing items that would otherwise end up in the landfill.    Guidelines: Residents can place reusable/serviceable items in front of their house on the curb no earlier
