Learn basic punch needle skills and leave with your very own handmade punch needle project. Starter kits provided. Space is limited to ten participants, so register early.  No admission charge. Want to download travel apps before you leave town? Need help utilizing the library’s Memory Lab or navigating Libby? The Northern Michigan University Department of Music will present a second season of Its series, Summer Concerts at Reynolds (SCR). This year’s events will all take place at 5 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall on Tuesdays in July and August. Admission is free, though donations will be gratefully accepted, with all proceeds benefiting the department to enhance the experience for students. This summer, SCR is highlighting music department faculty members, who are highly trained professional musicians as well as full-time educators. They will present both solo and group performances. Noon – 1:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Heritage Room.  Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer two weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation programs. Sessions will include a combination of talks, seated meditation, and movement practices. Candidates running in the August 4th Primary Election for the Marquette County Commission and the 96th District Court Judge will participate in two Public Candidate Forums conducted by the League of Women Voters of Marquette County on July 8-9. Please publish the following announcement and help us publicize the opportunity for voters to contribute questions, attend or watch the video of the forum.
