Copper Country Angel Mission Starts Annual Socks & Undies Drive for Local Students   Help Local Students Start the School Year with Confidence   Copper Country Angel Mission is launching its annual Socks & Undies Drive to collect new socks and underwear for local children in need, from toddlers through teenagers. The goal is to help every school-aged child begin the year with dignity, comfort, and the confidence that comes from having brand-new essentials.   Distribution The Angel Mission is again partnering with The Salvation Army – Copper Country – Bread of Life Center to distribute these essentials through CCAM’s

The Wild Ones Keweenaw Chapter is holding its late summer plant sale online at keweenaw.wildones.org. More than two dozen species are available, including scarlet bee balm, purple coneflower, and Jack in the pulpit, plus two different mini-gardens for monarch butterflies. UP Wild Wilderness Walk Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Gardeners Creek Nature Trail (Gather at the Calumet Waterworks parking lot.) The Wilderness Walks are opportunities to connect with God and each other in an outdoor natural setting.  Each walk has a leader who will guide the walk and stop along the way for readings and reflection.  The walks are appropriate for all ages, including families and children. No religious affiliation is necessary. Everyone is welcome!
