Copper Country Angel Mission Starts Annual Socks & Undies Drive for Local Students   Help Local Students Start the School Year with Confidence   Copper Country Angel Mission is launching its annual Socks & Undies Drive to collect new socks and underwear for local children in need, from toddlers through teenagers. The Wild Ones Keweenaw Chapter is holding its late summer plant sale online at keweenaw.wildones.org. More than two dozen species are available, including scarlet bee balm, purple coneflower, and Jack in the pulpit, plus two different mini-gardens for monarch butterflies. Better Together will meet on Thursday, August 13 at 9:30 at the Zion Lutheran Church on 400 Ingot Street in Hancock. The speaker and special music will be provided by Yvonne Blake of Ontonagon.  Yvonne is a professional recording artist and composer. In addition to her music, she will speak on, “Women Walking With Women.”  Her topic fits perfectly with the goal of Better Together. All area women are invited to attend this fun and inspiring event.
