  • Information & Prep Session for Shark Tank

    Breakwater will also host an Information & Prep Session   November 4th at 6PM at the Portage Lake District Library.   This session will give students the chance to receive oneon-one guidance, learn pitch-building tips, and practice answering Q&A questions in a supportive environment — helping them feel confident and ready for the competition stage.     The Lake Linden-Hubbell Public School will hold their annual Fall Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday, November 6, 2025. All students will be dismissed at 11:44 am. Hot lunch will not be served, but breakfast will be. Conferences for students in grades 6-12 are from 12:30 – 3:30 pm. and from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. Report cards may be picked up in the principal’s office located on the second floor of the high school. No appointment is needed for conferences for students in grades 6-12. Elementary conferences are made by appointment.

    Chassell VFW 42103 Wilson Memorial Drive, Chassell, Michigan

    The Chassell Post 6507 VFW and Auxiliary will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, November 11, from 2pm-6pm. Appointments are available by calling 906-449-1450, but walk-ins are welcome. All blood donated through the UP Regional Blood Center stays in the Upper Peninsula and helps patients in need at one of the 12 Upper Peninsula hospitals. One donation can save up to 3 lives, and there is an urgent need for all blood types.
