The Copper Country Community Band (CCCB) is rallying the community for a deeply personal cause. On Monday, July 13th, at 7:30 PM, the band will host a benefit concert at the historic Calumet Theatre to support one of its founding members, Bill “Benji” Brotherton, and his wife, Annie, as they navigate a challenging health crisis. For over half a century, Benji Brotherton has been a cornerstone of the local music scene. The Keweenaw National Historical Park Advisory Commission will convene for its quarterly meeting at 1 p.m. on July 14. The meeting will be held in-person at Keweenaw National Historical Park Headquarters building, located at 25970 Red Jacket Road. This is the corner of Red Jacket Road and Hwy. US-41 in Calumet. The meeting will include an update on the work of the commission and the National Park Service during the last quarter, discussion of plans and projects for this summer and fall, and will allow time for questions, requests, and comments from members of the public.
