Community QPR (+Narcan) Training offered March 26 in Hancock Free suicide prevention and opioid overdose reversal training Copper Shores Community Health Foundation is hosting free QPR and Narcan trainings, on Thursday, March 26 at 11 a.m. Both trainings take place at Copper Shores’ office, 821 Water Street, Hancock. QPR Training takes about an hour to complete, with an optional 30-minute Narcan Training to follow.   All community members from Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Ontonagon counties are invited to attend and learn life-saving skills. Both trainings are tailored for laypersons, including but not limited to businesses, educators, faith groups, healthcare professionals, parents and caregivers.

The Chassell All School Reunion Committee will meet on Tuesday, March 31, at 6:30 p.m. at the Chassell VFW building. All alumni are invited to attend. Ninth Annual Keweenaw Native Plant Symposium Saturday, April 4, 2026 9 a.m.-noon Zoom The Keweenaw Native Plant Symposium features nationally known pollinator advocate Heather Holm, who will speak on creating soft landings: mini-ecosystems beneath trees that support pollinators. During this free event, we’ll also learn about mosquito control, encouraging beneficial insects, and planting the right tree in the right place. Learn more and register at keweenaw.wildones.org.

KBIC Cultural committee Traditional Medicine Clinic   Todd Smith, Traditional Medicine Consultant, will be available to see people on the following dates:   Cultural Center 14865 Ojibwa Park Drive, Baraga, MI Saturday, April 4, 2026 Traditional Clinic – 9:00 am – 6:00 pm   For more information or to schedule an appointment, 906-353-7020 Participants are required to abstain from alcohol, marijuana and drug use four days prior to the Clinic. Women on their moontime cannot participate.

monthly meeting of the Keweenaw atv club will be held on April 6th , 2026,  at 7:00 P.M. It will be held at the Hubbell VFW in Hubbell Mich. We will discuss old and new projects. This is the first meeting of the season. Please attend and bring a friend.
