Candidates running in the August 4th Primary Election for the Marquette County Commission and the 96th District Court Judge will participate in two Public Candidate Forums conducted by the League of Women Voters of Marquette County on July 8-9. Please publish the following announcement and help us publicize the opportunity for voters to contribute questions, attend or watch the video of the forum. Also, if someone from your organization attends, either in person or via live stream, please consider reporting on the forum and the availability of video. If any questions arise, please let us know. Thursday, July 9, 2026, 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Shiras Room.  Adults, Seniors, Family Friendly. Join local poets, writers, and poetry enthusiasts for an evening of poetry. Monday July 6 (12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.) Wednesday July 8 (2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)  Friday July 10 (11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) Peter White Public Library Great Room.  Drop in during any of our LEGO building days during summer 2026’s LEGO Week to build with the library’s LEGO bricks! Youth of all ages welcome. Tuesdays, July (7, 14, 21, 28) 2026. 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Fridays, July (3, 10, 17, 24, 31) 2026. Noon – 1:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Heritage Room.  Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer two weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation programs. Sessions will include a combination of talks, seated meditation, and movement practices. Saturday July 11, 2026. 9:30 a.m.  South Beach Parking Lot.  Calling all little and big dinos for a family dino 1-mile fun run! For families with children of all ages, strollers welcome. All fitness levels welcome, participants will finish the fun run at their own pace. In partnership with Queen City Running.
