Noteworthy will hold its upcoming spring concert, “Fab, Fun, and Female: A Soirée of Song,” at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 11, at the Houghton High School Auditorium   “Noteworthy is a fun, fabulous group of women, and for this concert we thought, ‘Why not do songs that are just like us?” said director Joan Harbour. “As well as familiar tunes, we have a few playful numbers that I know our audience will really like.”   The concert also features Wende Jonas Hill, a local folk/rock singer who performs with Dodge Street Band, Trees, and Soundwaves.   Noteworthy is the region’s

GITIGE he/she gardens   VOLUNTEER WITH US Debweyendan Believe in it People’s Gardens Saturdays:  9 am – Noon   2026 Season Dates June 13 & 27 July 11 & 25 August 8 & 22 September 12 & 26 October 10 & 24   Lots of ways to help with gardening, including mulching, weeding, harvesting, pruning, and watering.  In appreciation of your assistance, you can select a high-quality garden tool or a gardening book whenever you engage.  Everyone is welcome, including beginners.   Our community Teaching Garden, located at 16037 Brewery Road in L’Anse, is cared for by the KBIC natural
