The Ontonagon Rural Electrification Association (REA) is preparing for its annual member meeting. The meeting will take place on Saturday, June 27th at 10 am at the Chassell High School. There will be lunch provided and prizes, but please note that this meeting is for members of the REA only.

Take a step into the past on Sunday, June 28th at Old Victoria’s Log Cabin Day Heritage Celebration, taking place from 11 am to 5 pm EST. The free event celebrates Michigan’s Log Cabin Day with an open house of the restored miner’s cabins that were originally built in 1899 to house workers of the Victoria Copper Mining Company. Visitors can hear stories of the lives of the miners and their families while touring the restored hand hewn log cabins and grounds. Middle schoolers invited to Heads UP, July 21 in Hancock Copper Shores Community Health Foundation has partnered with UP Health System – Portage for Heads UP – a Youth Wellbeing Event, an exciting day of food, fun and fitness for students entering grades five through eight. Heads UP is on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Quincy Green in Hancock.
