    Copper Country Community Band Announces Summer Concert Series The Copper Country Community Band is proud to present a series of five summer concerts across the Keweenaw. Under the direction of Amy Johnson and Micah Erickson, this all-volunteer group of approximately 35 musicians from across the Copper Country will bring audiences a lively mix of marches, classic concert band repertoire, and popular medleys. All concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. – All concerts are free to attend. Donations are gratefully accepted at the other concerts, with the concert on Thursday, August 28 specifically going towards the Houghton County Road Commission, to raise funds

    Wednesday, September 10, 1:30 p.m. Tai chi instructor Sensei Traci will lead us through some history on the benefits of practicing the ancient movement exercise of tai chi. Known for its monasteries, fortresses, welcoming people, and stunning landscapes, Bhutan is a destination few have the chance to experience.
