  • Trash To Treasure Weekend

    When: 2026.09.11-13 Where: City of Marquette City of Marquette residents are invited and encouraged to participate in the communitywide “Trash to Treasure Weekend” beginning Friday, September 11 through Sunday, September 13. The purpose of the program is to provide a venue for the recycling of reusable household items such as furniture, lamps, electronics and other working household items. The program is designed to increase awareness of recycling by creating an alternative means of reusing items that would otherwise end up in the landfill.    Guidelines: Residents can place reusable/serviceable items in front of their house on the curb no earlier

Families can attend the costume swap on Saturday, September 12 and look for a new-to-you costume! No admission charge, costumes are all free. Drop off gently used and clean costumes to the Teen Zone or Youth Services from now -September 11. All Costumes will be free of charge.  No donation needed to attend the swap.   • 10th annual Suicide Prevention Walk

    The community is invited to come together for the 10th annual Suicide Prevention Walk on Saturday, September 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Ray Kestner Waterfront Park in Houghton. The walk aims to raise awareness about local suicide prevention, reduce stigma surrounding mental health and show those who are struggling that they are not alone.   Over the past decade, the walk has grown into a meaningful opportunity for community members to connect, honor loved ones and support one another. This year, local students chosen for their leadership in supporting youth mental health through the CCISD’s Green Bandana Project,

  • 17th Annual U.P. Fall Beer Festival

    17th Annual U.P. Fall Beer Festival hosted by the Michigan Brewers Guild, coming up on Saturday, September 12 (1-6pm) along the Lake Superior shoreline in Marquette’s Mattson Lower Harbor Park.
