    The Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library’s (ICPL) Summer Reading Program is in full swing! We have been busy offering events for all ages and even hit record-breaking attendance at our programs in June! 2,203 people attended programs in June, nearly surpassing our ENTIRE program attendance for last summer in a single month.   • Blueberry Fest

    July 31, 10 am – 7 pm Come enjoy sidewalk sales, live music, and tons of blueberry-themed food and drink at the 26th annual downtown Marquette Blueberry Festival on Friday, July 31. Streets will be closed from 6:00 AM – 8:30 PM to allow event setup and tear down. There will be no overnight parking either, so please plan ahead for deliveries and staff parking.  

  • PWPL Presents: Drop-in Meditation with Meditate Marquette

Sessions will include a combination of talks, seated meditation, and movement practices.     597 Lakeshore Dr, Ishpeming, MI 49849   Phone: (906) 204-2623   Dates: August 1, 2026 The annual Upper Peninsula Gem and Mineral Show brings together rock and mineral enthusiasts from all over the Great Lakes region to enjoy vendors showing off rock and mineral samples, fossils, gemstones, rock jewelry and other rock and mineral crafts for a weekend that really, “Rocks”!     The weekend offers rockhounding field trips to mines and quarries in the area. Dates and details are still being unearthed.   Saturday is a full day of auctions, raffles, door prizes, exploring the gems, minerals, jewelry, and fossils.
