Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a six-week online workshop, designed for the non-professional, informal family caregiver, will be held on Thursdays, March 19 through April 23, from 1:30 – 3:00 pm (Eastern) via Zoom. Research studies find high rates of depression and anxiety among caregivers and increased vulnerability to health problems. Caregivers frequently cite restriction of personal activities and social life as problems. In addition, caregivers often feel a lack of control over events and a sense of powerlessness which can have a significant negative impact on their physical and emotional health. Thursday, April 16 3:30-4:30 p.m. The Negaunee Public Library is hosting a building club. Youth ages 5 and up are welcome to participate in a weekly building club, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16. Kids will discuss a topic that will be the focus of their creations, and then have time to build with blocks such as LEGO bricks. Participants can have their creations displayed in the library until the following meeting. All students in grades 6 to 8 are invited to put on your best summer themed attire for the library’s annual Spring Fling. Dance to your favorite songs and hang out with your friends. Parent chaperones are always welcome to help. Ticket required, which can be purchased at the PWPL Teen Zone. Tickets are limited and must be purchased in person.
