Tuesdays & Thursdays July (2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, 30), 2026. 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Peter White Public Library Lower Level Lobby. PWPL is once again partnering with Feeding America West Michigan in the Gather2Grow summer meals program and will serve as a pickup site for shelf stable meals. Available at no cost to all youth (18 and under) and disabled adults up to age 26. No admission charge. This July, Kestner Waterfront Park will transform into a world of knights, magic, and high‑flying spectacle as the Kingdom of Wonders Medieval Circus brings its acclaimed Renaissance‑themed show to Houghton. The production offers free admission for every performance, creating an accessible and family‑friendly highlight for the summer season. The Kingdom of Wonders is a theatrical, story‑driven circus that replaces animals and traditional clown acts with immersive storytelling, acrobatics, aerial artistry, juggling, and comedy. Audiences follow a brave knight and his sidekick as they attempt to reclaim the kingdom from a mischievous witch and her dragon. The show blends modern circus

July 4, 2026 11:00am Harlow Park The Freedom Monument podiums have been installed at Harlow Park (corner of W Washington St and N 7th St) within the Veterans Memorial Mall. A formal dedication ceremony will take place on July 4, 2026 at 11:00am as a part of the American Legion Post 44 Independence Day event. In addition to their commemorative function, the granite podiums will serve as a platform for ongoing education and civic engagement, offering space for community groups and classrooms.
