Dollar Bay Preschool registration is open! Children who will be 4 years old by September 1 are eligible to be a part of this outstanding program. The Dollar Bay Preschool follows the school year calendar, from the second week of September through the first week of June, and class is in session 8:25-3:30 Monday through Thursday each week, with free breakfast, snack, and lunch provided every day. Interested parents can simply go to the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City School website for the links to register. “Better Together” will meet on Thursday, July 10 at 9:30 at the Zion Lutheran Church on Ingot Street in Hancock. The speaker will be Andrea Morse of Chassell. Wild Ones Native Plant Sale The Wild Ones Keweenaw chapter is offering a selection of over two dozen native plants to get you gardening for butterflies, birds, and pollinators. UP Wild in the Keweenaw would like to announce its upcoming monthly event. Wilderness Walk Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Gratiot River County Park., Allouez, MI The Wilderness Walks are opportunities to connect with God and each other in an outdoor natural setting.  Each walk has a leader who will guide the walk and stop along the way for readings and reflection.  The walks are appropriate for all ages including families and children. Everyone is welcome, no religious affiliation is necessary.

A Good Trouble Rally is scheduled from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 17th, by Keweenaw Indivisible, and we are joining them.   Please bring a water bottle, dress appropriately for the weather, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. And spread the word! In support of the Good Trouble Rally at Houghton’s Veterans Park at 4:00 pm, a MotorMarch is being staged.  Meet at the Keweenaw Unitarian Universalist Fellowship parking lot at 3 pm to decorate your car.  Participants will decorate their private vehicles with signs or slogans drawn on side windows with “windshield markers.”
